Welcome to Huachuca Mountain Elementary School

Vision Statement:

It is the vision of Huachuca Mountain Elementary School to educate all students to become responsible, literate problem solvers who are contributing members of society through excellent teaching and learning.

Huachuca Mountain Elementary:

Huachuca Mountain is the newest elementary school in the Sierra Vista Public School District. We opened our doors in August 1987 and currently have an enrollment of approximately 560 students which includes kindergarten through fifth grade. We have a staff of 61 teachers and support personnel. We are celebrating our 21st school year.

Our students come from a wide geographic area. Some walk to school but most are bussed. We enjoy the luxury of the Arizona sunshine year-round and have ample playground facilities. We have a closed campus with a large cafeteria/multi-purpose room, library, art room, music room, nurse's office, counselor's office, speech room, sheltered english immersion room, av room, and many classrooms.

Recycling All Year Round

We are still collecting Cans for Bolts and clear plastic every Friday between 10:00 and 2:00. Please drop them by the school to help fund the Accelerated Reader program.
