Welcome to the superintendent’s Web site, where you can read the latest news from SVUSD, the superintendent’s blog and other information about our district.

As part of the district’s commitment to increasing academic achievement, improving our accountability and strengthening our responsiveness to the many publics we serve, I want to encourage each of you and all of you - SVUSD employees, members of the public at large, students, parents, teachers and taxpayers – to be involved in our schools.

Keeping you informed of what we’re doing is an important part of that. As superintendent, I want the district to be as transparent as possible. These are your schools and your children we’re educating, and we want you to be fully informed.

Here at SVUSD, we ask three questions to evaluate everything we do:

1.) Is it educationally sound?
2.) Is it good for kids?
3.) Is it fiscally responsible?

We are committed to providing the highest quality education possible for each and every student. We want our students to be competitive locally, nationally and internationally so they will lead successful, productive lives.

Public education is a large job, and a vital one. How well we educate our children will affect Sierra Vista and Cochise County far into the future.
